İİİThief River Falls - Kent John Gibson, 49, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, September 3, 2004 in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating.Casket bearers include Robert Gibson, Rick Olson, David Forsberg, Scott Carlson, Danny Newton and Gerald Trickle. Honorary casket bearers include Bill Nelson, Bob Nelson, Devere Chapman, Terry Dyrdahl, Roger Mandt, Randy Henrickson, Lyle Olson, LeRoy Lund, Dale Kronberger, Chuck Kronberger, Keith Swanson and Paul Hartley.

İİİVisitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

İİİKent Gibson was born August 2, 1955 to Stan and Mary Jane (Olson) Gibson.He played hockey at Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls and graduated in 1974.

İİİHe was united in marriage to Brenda Johnson in 1975.He worked in Beulah, N.D., on the Iron Range in Chisholm, Stan Gibson Realty in Thief River Falls, Pennington County Highway Department and for the past 15 years at Arctic Enterprises in Thief River Falls as a quality control inspector.

İİİKent was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church along with his sons. He could take any older machinery and fix it up to be just like brand new.He loved spending time with his family at their deer camp nearly every weekend, where he loved to hunt, build and make improvements. He loved 4-wheeling, watching the stars and driving around on the forest trails in Lake of the Woods County.Kent enjoyed his shop and work.He didnít like telephones and was always smiling.

İİİHe is survived by his parents, Stan (Ione) Gibson and Mary Jane Gibson, all Thief River Falls; daughters, Amy Gibson of Albertville and Chrysi Gibson of Otsego; sons, Jeremy and Justin Gibson and their mother, Bonnie Stormo of Thief River Falls; sisters, Judy Gibson of Snohomish, Wash. and Kristi (John) Leko of Rogers; and one brother, Robert (Shelly) Gibson of Thief River Falls.

İİİHe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fleming and Frieda Gibson and John and Adele Olson; two brothers, Roger William and James Stanley Gibson.
