
Parkridge, IL - Helen Radniecki Frank, 90, died Wednesday, August 20, 1997 at the home of her daughter, Virginia Mizera, in Parkridge, IL.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 23 at St. Cajetan Catholic Church in Chicago, IL.
Helen Virginia Radniecki was born August 2, 1907 in Deer Park township, Pennington County, the daughter of John and Emma (Vattendahl) Radniecki. At the age of nine, she went with her uncle, the Right Reverend Monsignor Stanley Radniecki, to Chicago where she attended parochial school. Later she returned to Minnesota and Thief River Falls where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1924. Helen attended normal teacher's training and taught at country schools in Erie, Plummer and Sebeka. She attended Bemidji State Teachers College where she received her teaching degree.
Helen moved to Chicago where she met and married Lawrence Frank in June of 1931. She continued to teach and attended DePaul University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She taught school in Oak Forest, IL for 30 years. Her husband Lawrence died in February of 1975.
Helen is survived by three daughters, Virginia (Tom) Mizera, Barbara (Everett) Howell and Carole (Johnnie) Jones; one son, John (Darlene) Frank; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Catherine (Roy) Jorgenson; five brothers, C.W. (Wylma) Radniecki; Al (Violet) Radniecki; Roman (Elciene) Radniecki; Virgil (Therese) Radniecki and Richard (Vonne) Radniecki; two sisters-in law, Sybil and Patricia; one aunt, Marie Jeffries; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Lawrence Jr.; one sister, Ann and three brothers, Stanley, Jack and Adam in infancy.
