
Red Lake Falls - Thomas Fournier, 74, died on Friday, January 16, 1998 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, January 20 at 2 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Terrebonne with Father Gary LaMoine officiating. Val Gagnon was the organist, and special music was provided by St. Anthony's Church Choir. Burial will be held in the church cemetery in the spring. The Petterson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Thomas Lloyd Fournier was born on December 18, 1923 in Terrebonne, the son of Xavier and Marie (Derosier) Fournier. He was raised and attended school at Terrebonne. He was employed by the Homark Company, Inc. of Red Lake Falls, did carpentry work and worked at American Crystal Sugar in Crookston. He lived on a farm in Terrebonne township until he became ill in July of 1995 and entered the Hillcrest Nursing Home where he has since resided.
Tom is survived by four brothers, Rheaume Fournier and Elmer Fournier, both of Red Lake Falls, Louie (Margaret) Fournier of Crookston and Richard (Marge) Fournier of Chisholm; three sisters, Cecile (Vern) Surprenant of Red Lake Falls, LaVonne (Robert) Pearson of Naperville, IL and Cleone (Ben) Barns of New Hope; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Anne Roy, Obeline Jolly, Lillie Lerum and infant Marie Fournier; and three brothers, Sam Fournier, Robert Fournier and Earl Fournier.
