
Brooks - Wanda Fore, 60, died Friday, November 7, 1997 at Fosston First Care Hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 11 at 2 p.m. at Oak Park Lutheran Church of rural Oklee with Reverend Steven Sparley officiating. Gelene Lundeen was the organist, and Janet Peterson provided vocal music. Casketbearers were Robbie Chistianson, Ronnie Kaiser, Ray Nelson, Ross Vettleson, Kevin Vettleson, Mark Vettleson, Randy Brekke and Al Blumke. Burial was in the Clearwater Cemetery near Oklee. The Petterson Funeral Home of Red Lake Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
Wanda A. Vettleson was born March 20, 1937 near Oklee, the daughter of Wiltan and Marie (Stucy) Vettleson. She was raised and attended school there and in Thief River Falls.
On November 6, 1954 she was united in marriage to Ronald Fore at Clearwater Church near Oklee. The couple farmed north of Oklee, and Wanda worked at various places in the area. Ronald passed away in March of 1981.
She was a member of Clearwater Lutheran Church. She was active in Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the North Country Mud Running Association.
Wanda is survived by her companion Orlando Rystad of Oklee; one daughter, Pam Fore of Pelican Rapids; four sons, Reid (JoJo) Fore of Tinian, CNMI, Philip Fore of Wylie, TX, Zachery (Carmen) Fore of Stillwater and Leif (Dawn) Fore of Oklee; five grandchildren; one brother, Roger (Sharon) Vettleson of Moorhead; one sister, Mitzi (Don) Pedersen of Perham; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Peterson of Minneapolis; one brother-in-law, Delano Fore of White Sulpher Springs, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ronald.
