Karlstad - Harold O. Folland, 87, died Sunday, March 30, 1997 at Karlstad Memorial Nursing Center. Arrangements were with Collins Funeral Home of Karlstad.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 1 at Eidsvold Lutheran Church of Halma with Rev. Gary Halverson officiating. Burial was in Eidsvold Cemetery of Halma.
Casketbearers were Jeff, Kyle, John, Mike, Jeremy, Kris, Jan and Brett Folland.
Harold Olaf Folland was born on June 23, 1909 in Great Falls, MT, the son of Isaac O. and Anne (Hennissen) Folland. He attended school and grew to manhood in the Halma community. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He was a life-long member of the Eidsvold Lutheran Church of Halma. He lived and farmed his entire life in Norway and Pelan Townships near Halma. He was a charter member of the Halma Senior Citizens Group. For the past nine years he has resided at the Karlstad Memorial Nursing Center.
He is survived by brothers Lee and John of Halma and Arthur of Sioux Falls, SD; sister Alice (Bob) Williams of Seattle, WA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Agnes and Mildred; and a brother in infancy.
