Newfolden - Orville Farstad, 80, died Tuesday, November 10, 1998 at North Valley Health Center in Warren.
Services were held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 14 at Green Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Barrett officiating. Eunice Waterworth was the vocalist. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Newfolden.
Orville Andrew Farstad was born on January 21, 1918 in Newfolden, the son of Ole Iver and Anna Teolina (Offerdahl) Farstad. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and attended Sunnyside School near Strandquist.
Orville lived most of his life at Newfolden where he farmed until he entered the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.
He enjoyed farming and especially like horses and other animals.
Orville is survived by four sisters, Adeline (Clifford) Dahl of St. Paul and Eunice Nelson, Edith Hautla and Delores Berg, all of Edina; nine nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Norman; and one sister, Opal.
