
Radium - Elmer Fagerstrom, 94, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 31 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Warren with Reverend Brian Schanil officiating. Rachel Peterson was the organist, and the soloist was Douglas Gloude. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Warren. The Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren was in charge of the arrangements.
Elmer Garfield Fagerstrom was born on February 3, 1905 in Radium, the son of Per and Maria (Johanson) Fagerstrom.
On October 14, 1934 he was united in marriage to Ebba Burseth at Warren, and the couple made their home in Comstock township of Marshall county where they farmed. Ebba died on October 25, 1994.
He was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Warren and enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting.
Elmer is survived by three sons, William (Prudence) of Minneapolis, and Lloyd (Dawn) and Robert (Mona Rae), both of Warren; two daughters, Arlene (Don) Barnes of Braham and Dona (Duane) Nielson of Warren; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three brothers, John, Clarence and Victor; and two sisters, Bertha Becken and Esther Sylvander. A00003B1999AG04
