
McIntosh - Belinda Evenson, 93, died Tuesday, September 26, 2000 at McIntosh Manor Nursing Home in McIntosh.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Winger with Rev. Bob Amundson officiating. Carol Stordahl was the organist, and special music was provided by John Mattson. Casketbearers were Corey Rude, Evan Evenson, John Murphy, Michael Murphy, William Carlson, Ole Carlson, Hilmer Carlson and Waldo Thompson. Interment was in Winger Cemetery with Mattson Funeral Home of Mahnomen in charge of the arrangements.
Belinda Mork was born on May 2, 1907 near Winger, the daughter of Ole and Anna (Villand) Mork. She grew up and attended country school near Winger.
Belinda worked as a telephone operator in Winger and lived on the family farm until her marriage to Edwin Evenson on November 28, 1931 in Winger. The couple farmed west of Winger for many years. After Edwin's death in 1972, Belinda remained on the farm until 1979 when she moved into town. She lived in Winger until 1996 when she moved to McIntosh Manor Nursing Home.
She was a life-time member of Calvary Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. She also belonged to Winger American Legion Fengestad-Solie Auxiliary Post 200.
Belinda is survived by two sons, Allen (Jane) of Glasgow, Mont. and Lyle of Winger; a daughter, Beverly (Waldo) Thompson of Thief River Falls; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Nills. A00003B2000OC04
