Olga Erickson, 82

Karlstad - Olga Erickson, 82, died Saturday, August 29, 1998 at the Fridley Convalescence Home.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, September 2) at 10 a.m. at the Collins Funeral Chapel in Karlstad with Mrs. Loren Quick and Richard Raschke officiating. Barbara Swenson will be the organist, and vocal music will be provided by Ray Swenson and Lucille Simpson. Casketbearers will be her grandchildren, Dan, Lance and Craig Erickson; Scott and Jeff Ulrich; Eric D'Ambrogio; Tracy Ulrich; Jamie D'Ambrogio and Terese Erickson. Burial will be in the Karlstad Cemetery.

Olga Clara Wolff was born on June 16, 1915 in North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Weinrebe) Wolff. She attended school and grew up in the Pelan community in Kittson county near Karlstad.

On June 1, 1939 she was united in marriage to Fred R. Erickson at Pelan. The couple made their home in the Grygla and Goodridge areas before moving to Chisholm in 1952. In 1962 they moved to Minneapolis where they resided for 20 years. In 1982 the couple moved to Cohasset where Olga continued to live after Fred's death on December 6, 1987. She later moved to Anoka and for the past four years has resided at the Fridley Convalescence Home in Fridley.

Olga is survived by two sons, Marvin of Chisholm and Reuben of Andover; two daughters, Waviel (Gayle) Ulrich of Ham Lake and Debie (Ken) D'Ambrogio of Merrifield; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert of Santa Maria, CA, Bill (Orpha) of Karlstad, and Eddy (Betty) of Strathcona; three sisters, Clara (Lloyd) Hermanson of Karlstad, Bertha Wolff of Bakersfield, CA, and Alice (Dick) Hobson of Oklahoma; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two granddaughters, Wendy and Heather; and one brother, Herbert.
