
Strathcona - Kenneth E. Erickson, 67, died Friday, April 17, 1998 at his home in Strathcona.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21 at Gustav Adolph Lutheran Church in Strathcona with Pastor John A. Jorgenson officiating. Tanya Melby was the organist, and the soloist was Marie Olson. Casketbearers were Craig Bratland, Mark Bratland, Greg Howdahl, Harold Howdahl Jr., David Stauffenecker, Kevin Borreson, Jason Erickson, Jeff Erickson and Kurt Melby. The Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush was in charge of the arrangements.
Kenneth Erickson was born on April 25, 1930 to Robert E. and Esther (Kimble) Erickson in Deer township near Strathcona where he grew up.
On April 18, 1980 he was united in marriage to Roma Olson at Anaconda, MT.
Kenneth farmed for many years in Deer township. He also worked for Selmer Waage Lumbering and did custom hay baling and rock picking in the area.
He was a member of the Eagles Club in Thief River Falls.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Roma; two daughters, Kathy Moose and Renay Erickson, both of Thief River Falls; two stepsons, Jarvis (Vicky) Olson of Minneapolis and Roger (Tammy) Olson of Thief River Falls; two stepdaughters, Carol (Rod) Ernst of Winfield, KS and Cindy (Kent) Swanson of Thief River Falls; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; one brother, Milton (Beverly) Erickson of Newfolden; and four sisters, Victoria Waage of Greenbush; Mae (Ingvold) Borreson of Strathcona; Lillian (Howard Sr.) Howdahl of Greenbush and Jeanette Kasprowicz of Greenbush.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law.
