Hulda Myrold Erickson, 93

Minneapolis - Hulda Myrold Erickson, 93, died Wednesday, December 17, 1997 at Minneapolis.

Funeral services were held at 12 noon at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, December 20 with Chaplain Mary Pauluk officiating. Special music was provided by Jim Reilly and Beatrice Hole. A psalmodikon, a one-string instrument of the 1800's used to lead hymn singing in Scandinavian churches, was played. Interment was at Lakewood Cemetery. The Henry W. Anderson Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.

Hulda Myrold was born on August 24, 1904 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Christ O. and Annie (Voldness) Myrold. She attended school in Thief River Falls.

On August 12, 1925 she was united in marriage to Frank V. Erickson at Thief River Falls. The couple later moved to Minneapolis where they made their home.

Hulda is survived by one son, Emery (Rubye) Erickson of Minneapolis; one daughter, Marilyn Erickson of Minneapolis; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; two nieces, Carol Benitt of Holt and LuAnn (Gordon) Peterson of Middle River; and one nephew, Ronald (Shirley) Smith of South Milwaukee, WI.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank on November 27, 1976; one daughter-in-law, Mary Jean Erickson; one brother, Olaf Myrold; and one sister, Alma Smith.
