Warren - Lena Enquist, 87, died Wednesday, January 6, 1999 at the North Valley Health Center in Warren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9 at First Lutheran Church in Warren. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Warren. The Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Lena Smeby was born on April 7, 1911 in Buffalo, SD, the daughter of Matt and Anna Smeby. She moved to Karlstad as a young girl and spent her early years there.
On May 21, 1937 she was united in marriage to Roy Edwin Enquist at Pontiac, MI. The couple lived in Pontiac and Graceville, Minnesota before moving to Warren in 1956 where they owned the Warren Hotel and Elmcrest Motel. Roy Edwin died on September 10, 1985.
Lena is survived by one son, Dr. Roy John (Mary) Enquist of Marshall; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Patrick in 1985; and several brothers and sisters.
