St. Cloud - Earl Engelstad, 83, formerly of Thief River Falls, died Thursday, September 21, 2000 at St. Benedict's Senior Community in St. Cloud.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 25, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery with Benson Funeral Home of St. Cloud in charge of the arrangements.
Earl Paul Engelstad was born on February 9, 1917 in Thief River Falls, the son of Paul and Ollie (Larness) Engelstad.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Engelstad of Hemet, Calif. and David Engelstad of Huntington Beach, Calif.; four daughters, Earline Goodard of Winchester, Calif., Janice Frost of Murietta, Calif., and Judy Corbett and Nancy Engelstad, both of Nuevo, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, James and Arnie Engelstad, both of Thief River Falls, and Peter Engelstad of Otis, Ore.; and a sister, Blanche Carlson of St. Cloud.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Millie; second wife, Dolly; a daughter, Ginger; a brother, Morris; and a grandson, Richard. A00003B2000SP27
