
Red Lake Falls - Madeline Dupont, 81, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, July 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Val Gagnon was the organist. Casketbearers were his grandchildren, Joanne, Richard, Renee, Greg, Diane and Crissy. Honorary casketbearers were grandchildren, Theresa, Kevin, Cindy, Ronda and Shane. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Petterson Funeral Home of Red Lake Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
Madeline Noella Perreault was born on March 6, 1917 at Terrebonne, the daughter of Edward and Edna (Rock) Perreault. She was raised there and attended school near there. Madeline was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne.
On September 4, 1939 Madeline was united in marriage to Ralph Dupont at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The couple lived and farmed in the Terrebonne area for 50 years.
She was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the ladies guild. She enjoyed quilting, camping, fishing and dancing.
Madeline is survived by her husband, Ralph Dupont of Terrebonne; two daughters, Glorianne Kargel of McGrath and Karen (Frank) Knott of Red Lake Falls; three sons, Gary (Elaine) Dupont of Bloomington, Ronnie Dupont of Denver, CO and Dean (Paulette) Dupont of Red Lake Falls; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; stepmother, Rose Perreault of Red Lake Falls; four sisters, Eva Raymond of Red Lake Falls, Helen Arvesen of Stephen, Doreen Wiblushauser of St. Paul and Marie Jochim of Anoka; one brother, Gerald Perreault of Grand Forks, ND; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
