Lucille Dupont, 91

Red Lake Falls - Lucille B. Dupont, 91, died Wednesday, August 12, 1998 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Mass of Christian burial will be held today (Wednesday, August 19) at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Kathie Knott will be the organist, and special music will be provided by St. Joseph's Church Choir. The reader will be Ramona Dempsey. Casketbearers will be Harvey Klipping, Richard Klipping, Bradley Dempsey, Paul Pinsonneault, Mike Altepeter and Jeff Pinsonneault. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery near Red Lake Falls.

Visitation was held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls and also for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Lucille Bernadette Dubuque was born on August 23, 1906 at Gentilly, the daughter of Albert and Agnes (Patnode) Dubuque. She was raised and attended school in Oklee.

On August 7, 1927 she was united in marriage to Harold Dupont at Gentilly in St. Peter's Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Louisville township near Red Lake Falls where they farmed and owned and operated a cafe for 50 years. Harold died on February 19, 1978. For the past year Lucille has resided at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls and enjoyed baking and cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Lucille is survived by one son, Allen (Sharon) Dupont of Red Lake Falls; four daughters, Ramona (Peter) Dempsey of Los Angeles, CA, Barbara McKelvie of Minneapolis, June (Bobby) Robbins of Perham and Patricia (Louis) Pinsonneault of Tucson, AZ; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Louis Dubuque; and one sister, Delia Patnode.
