
Plummer - Roger D. Duden, 59, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at Dakota Heartland Hospital in Fargo, N.D.
Mass of Christian burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 30 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Special music was provided by St. Joseph's Church Choir. Casketbearers were Ole Tvedt, Francis Martell, Bernard Schmitz, Linus Schmitz, John Norbeck, Suren Sethl, Bernard Huot and Bruce Voelker. Burial was in Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston. The Petterson Funeral Home of Red Lake Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
Roger Dean Duden was born on March 27, 1941 in Crookston, the son of George and Elsie (Kliner) Duden. He attended school in St. Hilaire and farmed with his father.
On March 26, 1960, he was united in marriage to Mildred Bruggeman at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls. The couple purchased a farm near Plummer where Roger farmed. He was also a truck driver and for the past six years had been employed by Trans-system.
He enjoyed horses, chariot racing, camping, his blue healer dog and hunting and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his wife, Mildred Duden of Plummer; five daughters, Virginia Duden of Plymouth, Monica (Brian) Jones and Laura (Tony) Rubischko, both of Goodridge, and Sandra (Dean) Hesse and Rose Hanson, both of Red Lake Falls; three sons, Perry (Laurie) Duden of Red Lake Falls, Rodney (Jody) Duden of Young America and Bradley (special friend Vicki) Duden of Red Lake Falls; 17 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn (Bernard) Huot of St. Hilaire; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Sandra Duden. A00003B2000JL05
