Alma Drotts, 93

Thief River Falls - Alma Drotts, 93, died on Friday, January 16, 1998 at the CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 19 at the Mission Covenant Church in Viking with Pastors Donn Roach and Sheldon Lorentson officiating. Arlene Hanson was the organist, and Virgil and Marville Hjelle sang a duet. Casketbearers were LeRoy Sustad, Clifford Dahle, Donavon Dyrdahl, Ernest Melvie Jr., Wallace Hanson and Danny Sustad. Burial was at Viking Cemetery. The Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls was in charge of the arrangements.

Alma Otelia Drotts was born on June 3, 1904 in Viking township of Marshall County, the daughter of Oscar and Hilda (Samuelson) Drotts. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. Alma attended rural school near Viking and graduated from Warren High School in 1926. She lived at home for some years and later did housework for her uncle. She continued to maintain the home until moving to the CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center on September 18, 1997.

She was a member of Mission Covenant Church of Viking.

Alma is survived by one sister, Ruth Drotts of Minneapolis; three brothers, Albert Drotts of Minneapolis, Hans Drotts of Batavia, IL and Raymond Drotts of Viking; five nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Hilma Drotts; and two sister-in-laws, Alice Drotts and Carrie Drotts.
