
Brooks - Albert Doyea, 66, died Saturday, November 27, 1999 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Memorial services will be held today (Wednesday, December 1) at 11 a.m. at Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls with Rev. Clarence Johnson officiating. Linda Olson will be the organist and soloist. Military honors will be provided by the Plummer American Legion Post. Burial will be in Emardville Cemetery near Plummer.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Albert Arthur Doyea was born on December 25, 1932 in Garnes township of Red Lake county, the son of Paul and Ingaborg "Belle" (Olson) Doyea. He was raised and attended school near Brooks.
Albert served in the U.S. Army for two years, and after his honorable discharge returned to the Brooks area where he worked at several places and retired from Homark Homes in Red Lake Falls in 1998.
He was a member of the American Legion Post in Plummer and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards.
Albert is survived by one son, Allan (Leah) Olson of Morganfield, KY; one granddaughter; two sisters, Evelyn (Willard) Lidenberg of Dilworth and Clarice Thornton of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, Tom (Colleen) Doyea of Dilworth; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John; and one sister, Melba. A00003B1999DC01
