Rapid City, SD - Doreen A. Baskerville, 73 died Tuesday, February 18, 1997 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Arrangements were with Osheim-Catron Funeral Home of Rapid City, SD.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 21 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help with Rev. Peter Wilke officiating. Burial was in Black Hills National Cemetery.
Doreen Baskerville was born on February 4, 1924 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Anton and Louise (Majeres) Dorn. She grew up and graduated from high school in Thief River Falls. She was united in marriage to Edward J. Baskerville on July 16, 1947 in Thief River Falls. The couple resided in Crookston and later Hopkins before moving to Rapid City, SD in 1960.
She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lake of Perpetual Help. Her life was devoted to caring for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by children Mary (Don) Steinbarger of Austin, TX, Bette (Randy) Monson of Leawood, KS, Barbara (Tom) Holwegner of Wilmington, DE, Nancy Maguire of Rapid City, SD, Connie Dulany of Fargo, ND, John (Lila) Baskerville of Chicago, IL, and Monica (Tom) Ackerman of Rapid City, SD; brothers Tony Dorn of Thief River Falls and Roger Dorn of Dana Pointe, CA; and 16 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976; and her parents.
