Albert Dargus, 87

Crookston - Albert Dargus, 87, died Wednesday, February 3, 1999 at his home in Crookston.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, February 10) at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Crookston. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston. The Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home of Crookston is in charge of the arrangements.

Albert Dargus was born on August 20, 1911 at Warren, the son of Fred and Anna (Hitter) Dargus. He grew up in Warren and attended rural school.

On November 2, 1942 Albert was united in marriage to Lydia Willers at Warren. They lived at Warren for a short time, and in 1943, they moved to Euclid township near Euclid. They farmed there until 1976 when they retired. In 1986 Albert and Lydia moved to Crookston. Lydia died on October 12, 1991.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Eagles Aerie 873.

Albert is survived by one son, Donald (Linda) Dargus of Crookston; one daughter, Connie (Steve) Grivno; four grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence (Mildred) Dargus of Grand Forks, ND; one sister, Helen Lee Munger of Warren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two brothers, Herman and Fred Dargus; and one sister, Freda Swenson.
