River Falls - Donald Culkins, 76, died Monday, October 16, 2000
at his home in Wyandotte township of Pennington county.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 20, at Green Funeral Home Chapel in Thief River Falls. Burial will be in Clearwater Cemetery of Wyandotte township of Pennington county.
Visitation will be held from noon until 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, and for one hour prior to services on Friday.
Donald Patrick Culkins was born on August 15, 1924 in Smiley township of Pennington county, the son of Patrick and Ruth (Larson) Culkins. He was baptized and confirmed at Clearwater Lutheran Church and attended school in District 51 in Pennington county. He graduated from St. Hilaire High School in 1942. He farmed for his entire life in Wyandotte township and during the 1960s, worked at Arctic Cat.
He enjoyed hunting, visiting with neighbors and playing cards, especially Smear.
He was a member of the Farmers Union and National Farmers Union Organization.
Donald is survived by two brothers, Sidney Culkins and Russell (Thelma) Culkins, both of Thief River Falls; two nephews; a niece; an aunt; a great-niece and great-nephew; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Randall Culkins. A00003B2000OC18
