Donald Craig, 56

Thief River Falls -- Donald Dean Craig was born March 9, 1941, in Montevideo, the son of Margaret (Lasher) and F. Ted Craig. Donald moved to Williams when he was one year old and grew up there, graduating from high school in Williams. He served in the Army for three years, then returned to the Williams area and worked as a commercial fisherman. In 1967 he moved to Minneapolis and worked for the Alumacraft boat factory. Donald and Joan Nordlund were united in marriage on November 24, 1967, in North St. Paul. In the fall of 1969 they moved back to Williams and Don has worked for the Marvin Window Company since 1969. Don loved to hunt and fish and also loved to work in the woods, logging.

Besides his wife, Joan, Don is survived by three daughters, Kelly (Mrs. Todd Matelski) of Williams, Paula Craig of Williams, and Wendy (Mrs. Bill Klopp) of Thief River Falls; three grandchildren; two brothers, John W. Craig and wife Nancy of Williams, and Gerald Craig and wife Diane of Williams; four sisters, Jean (Mrs. Ernest Boyer) of Safford, AZ, Joyce (Mrs. Jim Petrowski) of Waskisk, Carol (Mrs. Jim Robberstad) of Litchfield, and Diana (Mrs. Tom Peterson) of Minneapolis.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Alyce Lewing, one brother, Teddy, and one great-nephew, Zachary Pearson.

Donald Dean Craig passed away Tuesday, April 29, 1997, in Thief River Falls, at the age of 56.

Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery Williams.
