Dorothy Cooper, 83

Goodridge - Dorothy Cooper, 83, of Goodridge died Tuesday, June 3, l997 at North Valley Health Care Center in Warren.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge with Reverend Robert Dahlen and Intern Michael Zaske officiating. Margie Iverson was the organist and Grace Hammer, the soloist. Casketbearers were George Pittman, Ronnie Wilkens, Dale "Shorty" Wilkens, Roger Pittman, Gary Kiesow and Dale Anderson. All of Dorothy's grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends were honorary casketbearers. Burial was in the Poplar Grove Cemetery, Marshall County. Arrangements were with the Green Funeral Home.

Dorothy Cady was born August 14, l913 the daughter of Ralph and Amelia (Swenson) Cady in Marshall County. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith and attended school in Moylan Township, Marshall County. She was united in marriage to Henry Becker in Crookston and later married Clifton Cooper. Dorothy enjoyed painting, gardening, crocheting, crafts and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.

She is survived by her two children, Doris (Melvin) Aase of Warren and Vernon (Florence) Becker of Cavalier, ND; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; daughter-in-law, Donna Becker of Wichita, KS; sisters-in-law, Reva Cady and Mary Cady of Grand Junction, CO; brother-in-law, Joseph McCoy, also of Junction City, CO; several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands; one son, Harold; her parents; three brothers, Robert, Lester and infant brother, Harry; one sister, Phyllis McCoy; and two grandsons, Steven and Gene.
