Moorhead - Marian S. Cochran, 72, died Monday, April 27, 1998.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Fargo, ND.
Marian S. Swanson was born in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Albert and Hulda Swanson. Marian graduated from Lincoln High School and earned a teaching certificate from Moorhead State Teachers College where she was a member of Gamma Nu sorority.
She retired in 1988 from Ben Franklin Jr. High School in Fargo, ND and was a private piano teacher for many years. She served as organist at Grace Methodist Church in Moorhead. She enjoyed her long membership in the Moorhead Mother Singers.
Marian is survived by her husband, James; four sons, James (Kate) of Toms River, NJ, John (Deborah) of Maple Grove, Robert (Brenda) of Glendale, AZ and William (Sherry) of Twin Valley; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Janice Berg.
