Roseau - Eleanore Christianson, 89, died Saturday, July 12, 1997 at the Greenbush Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held today, July 16 at 11 a.m. at the Pine Grove Lutheran Church in Roseau with Rev. Jay Borchert officiating. Interment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery. The Helgeson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Eleanore B. Christianson was born on July 9, 1908 at Lake Park the daughter of Willie and Clara (Hernindahl) Olson. She lived in St. Thomas, ND and the Wannaska area. On October 17, 1934 she and Harry Christianson were united in marriage at Roseau. She was a member of the Pine Grove Ladies Aid. For the past ten months, Eleanore has lived at the Greenbush Nursing Home.
Eleanore is survived by her three daughters, Wanda (John) Helmowski of Minto, ND, Carol (Paul) Jore of Moorhead and Lana Christianson of Thief River Falls; one son, Wayne Christianson of Roseau; six grandchildren; one sister, Adelyne Borge of Hoople, ND; two brothers, William (Selma) Olson of Grand Junction, CO and Darrell Olson and his friend, June Nelson of Hoople, ND; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991; her parents; three brothers, Milfred, Lester and Earl; and three sisters, Beatrice Wesolowski, Joy Sillerud and Inez Hillier.
