Boron, CA - Esther Caillier, 78, died Sunday, August 2, 1998 at her home in Boron, CA after a long illness.
Funeral mass was held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, August 6 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Boron, CA. Interment was in Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster, CA. Arrangements were with the Stickel Mortuary in Mojave, CA.
Esther Lufkin was born on December 30, 1919 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Alfred and Gunil (Reierson) Lufkin. She attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1937. On November 5, 1945 she married Robert Caillier of Gentilly.
Esther is survived by her husband, Robert; three sons, Robert Jr. and Bruce, both of Lancaster, CA and Darryl of Boron, CA; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur (Leola) Lufkin of Crookston; one sister, Harryet (Lloyd) Larson of Thief River Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Orville Lufkin; and one sister, Myrtle Seeger.
