Red Lake Falls - Delores Burthwick, 67, Red Lake Falls, died on Thursday, April 24, 1997, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial was held April 28 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks, with Father Duane Pribula officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Church cemetery.
Delores Burthwick was born on June 22, 1929 in Lambert township, daughter of Theodore and Lillian (Riel) Hince. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Burthwick on June 22, 1951 at Larimore, ND, where they first lived. They then lived in Hallock for two years and then in Brooks for 23 years before moving to Red Lake Falls in 1979. She worked at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls for a short time. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the ladies guild.
She is survived by three sons, George and wife Rita Burthwick of Oklee, Jeff Burthwick of Mentor, and Kelly and wife Candace of Red Lake Falls; two daughters Judy Champagne and friend Arden Lundeen of Oklee, and Debbie Violette and friend Wes Kaupang of McIntosh; 16 grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Willard Hince and wife Shirley of Thief River Falls, Evangeline Grove and husband Sherlin of Brooks, and Russell Hince and wife Cheryl of Brooks; mother Lillian Hince of Brooks; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth on May 10, 1993, brother Duane, son Robert and two infant sons, and father Theodore.
