Thief River Falls - Diane Bulger, 56, died Thursday, May 21, 1998 at Dakota Heartland Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls with Father Dennis Wieland officiating. Carol Amundson was the organist, and special music was provided by the Resurrection Choir. Judy Dupree was the cantor. Casketbearers were Ron Gerhart, Gary Gerhart, Tim Bulger, Greg Bulger, Brian Olson and Ralph Matter. Burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery. The Green Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Diane Clara Parent was born on February 2, 1942 in Argyle, the daughter of Omer and Arthemise (Bazinet) Parent. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at Argyle, and she attended school in Argyle. Following school, Diane moved to Florida where she worked for several years before returning to Minnesota in 1966.
On July 9, 1966 she was united in marriage to Gerald Bulger at Argyle. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls. Diane worked at the Piggly Wiggly store for several years and was later a cook at St. Bernard's School for a number of years.
Diane was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
She enjoyed bird watching, her poodles and other animals and crafts. She especially enjoyed being with her family and friends.
Diane is survived by her husband, Gerald of Thief River Falls; one daughter, Tammy of Thief River Falls; one son, Jeremy of Fargo, ND; four sisters, Louise Anderson of Stephen, Gloria (Gordon) Mickelson of Stephen, Joyce (William) Bulger of Thief River Falls and Audrey (Larry) Dyer of Albuquerque, NM; three brothers, Roger (Geraldine) Parent of Mesa, AZ, Dale (Ralphine) Parent of Minneapolis and her twin brother, Donnie Parent of East Grand Forks; one brother-in-law; one sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Rolland, Larry and Jerry; and one sister, Darlene Harbott.
