Thornton, CO - Ronald Buen, 62, 0f Thornton, CO died Thursday, May 1, 1997 while visiting in Pine Bluff, AR.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 5 at Newcomer Family Chapel in Lakewood, CO with Rev. George Berlin officiating. Casketbearers were Bruce Buen, Rock Buen, Rick Buen, Don Chapman, Jim Jones and Stan Stanpaprocki. Interment was at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Ronald Buen was born in Minneapolis on February 3, 1935 to Henry and Jane Buen. He attanended school and grew to manhood in Thief River Falls. He granduated from Lincoln High School in 1953.
In 1951, Ron began his employment with the Soo Line Railroad, working in the baggage department at the depot. He became a crew caler in 1954. In 1959, Ron became a conductor with the Union Pacific Railroad in Denver, CO. He continued as a conductor until his retirement on February 3, 1997.
On January 30, 1954 he was married in Thief River Falls to Beverly Johnson. The couple moved to Denver in 1959. In 1981, Ron married Shirley Mae Tilley.
He is survived by three sons, Bruce, Rock and Rick of Denver, CO; four grandsons and one granddaughter.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae, and his parents.
