Moorhead - Steven J. Bruggeman, 42, died Sunday, September 10, 2000 at his home in Moorhead.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 16, at 9 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Moorhead. Interment was held at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Brooks. Arrangements were with Boulger Funeral Home of Fargo, N.D.
Steven J. Bruggeman was born on July 1, 1958 in Red Lake Falls, the son of Lloyde and Ruby Bruggeman. He grew up in Brooks and graduated from Erskine High School in 1976. He attended the University of Minnesota, Crookston. In Crookston, he worked at Viking Bar and Northland Lodge. In 1992, Steven moved to Fargo where he worked as a cook at Flying J Restaurant. He moved to Moorhead in 1998. He worked as a bartender at Fargo VFW. From 1994 until the time of his death, he had been employed by the American Legion in Moorhead.
Steven is survived by his mother, Ruby Bruggeman of Brooks; three sisters, Margo (Carl) Thiede of Lancaster, Wisc.; Nancy (Rolfe) Ericson of Guthrie; and Becky (Kevin) Tranby of West Fargo, N.D.; a sister-in-law, Mary Bruggeman of Thief River Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Peggy in 1962; and a brother, Daniel in 1995.
