Jason Brandt, 22

Livingston, MT - Jason Brandt, 22, died Thursday, June 24, 1999 at Livingston Memorial Hospital, the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Following a family visitation, cremation took place at Franzen-Davis Crematory in Livingston, MT. Family services will be scheduled for a later date.

Jason David Brandt was born on February 17, 1977 in Thief River Falls, the son of Shirley Joppru and Lee Brandt. He attended elementary school and high school in Eden Prairie, graduating in 1995. He played hockey for the Eden Prairie Eagles for five years.

Following his graduation, he moved to Bozeman, MT where he lived for a short while before returning to Minnesota. He took photography courses at Hennepin County Vo-Tech in Minneapolis. On May 21 of this year, Jason moved to Livingston and was employed at Albertson's Food Center at the time of his death.

He enjoyed hiking and camping with his mother at Fairy Lake, Frisbee golf, golf, reading, photography and doing stained glass work.

Jason is survived by his mother, Shirley Joppru of Livingston, MT; his father, Lee Brandt of Savage; one sister, Kim Swenson of Pittsfield, MA; his grandmother, Evelyn Joppru of Thief River Falls; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Darlene Brandt, and his grandfather, Art Joppru.
