Evelyn Bradley, 67

Thief River Falls - Evelyn Bradley, 67, died Sunday, October 18, 1998 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, October 21) at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with Reverend Terri Skildum officiating. Ida Nordvall will be the organist, and vocal music will be provided by Sheryl Hawk. Casketbearers will be Dale Bonawitz, Vern Dokkin, Jim Gunstad, Al Hugg, Russ Lane and Mike Taggert. Burial will be in Landstad Cemetery in Sanders township of Pennington county.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services and was held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Green Funeral Home.

Evelyn Nelsetta Armstrong was born on July 19, 1931 in Beadle county near Huron, SD, the daughter of Nelson and Selma (Fellman) Armstrong. She was baptized in South Dakota. In 1942 her family moved to St. Hilaire where she was confirmed in the Christian faith at Tarna Lutheran Church and attended school, graduating in 1949 from St. Hilaire High School.

She worked at the Soo Cafe and Club Cafe for many years and was also a nurse's aid at St. Luke's Hospital.

On January 3, 1957 she married Raymond Bradley in St. Hilaire. The couple moved to Bailey, NC and then to Thief River Falls in 1962. The lived in Moorhead from 1963 until 1965 when they returned to the rural Thief River Falls area.

Evelyn loved animals and enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Raymond; one brother-in-law; one uncle; several nieces and nephews; her husband's family; and special friends, Myrna and Russ Lane and Vern and Darlene Dokkin, all of Thief River Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, DeVona Gunstad and Marilyn Modrell.
