Adelore Boutain, 94

Dorothy - Adelore Boutain, 94, died Friday, August 28 1998 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Dorothy's Catholic Church in Dorothy with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Polly Beyer was the organist. Burial was in St. Dorothy's Cemetery in Dorothy. The Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls was in charge of the arrangements.

Adelore Boutain was born on February 9, 1904 in Canada, the son of Napoleon and Fedora (Rouseau) Boutain. He was baptized in the Catholic faith and being of French extraction spoke French fluently. He attended rural school near Dorothy and as a young man enjoyed playing the fiddle. He worked on the family farm until retiring and moving to St. Hilaire. Adelore was a resident of Valley Home from 1992 until 1994 and in March of 1995 moved to Oakland Park Nursing Home.

He enjoyed playing cards and reading newspapers.

Adelore is survived by three sisters, Alphonsine (Stephen) Brantl of East Grand Forks, Delvina (Albert) Srnsky of Osage, and Marie (Jerome) Zak of Hastings; one brother, Norman of Duluth; one sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Josephine Brantl; and three brothers, Noah, Alex, and Henry.
