
Fargo, ND - Jared Boe, 25, formerly of Newfolden, died Friday, December 25, 1998 in Foldahl township of Marshall county as the result of a car accident.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 28 at the Evangelical Free Church in Newfolden with Pastors Ollie Urdahl and Gary Barrett and Father Phil Ackermann officiating. Judy Hogberg was the organist. Vocal music was provided by Craig Swenson and Wendy Blazewski. Casketbearers were Steven Boe, Jeffrey Boe, Jason Skadsem, Michael Bring, Jim Johnson, Brent Elseth and Keith Boe. Honorary casketbearers were Aric Skadsem, Steve Weber, Shayne Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, Leon Hapka, Leslie Folden and Lance Hapka. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Newfolden. The Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
Jared Scott Boe was born on October 19, 1973 in Karlstad, the son of Gene and Beverly (Skadsem) Boe. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and attended school in Viking and Newfolden. After working in northwestern Minnesota, Jared moved to Fargo, ND in 1996 where he was currently employed as a salesman at the Corwin Buick-Toyota dealership.
Jared is survived by his mother, Beverly Boe of Thief River Falls; his fiance, Jennifer Hapka of Fargo, ND; two brothers, Jeffrey (special friend Audrey Wahlert) of Viking and Steve (special friend Kim Carlson) of Thief River Falls; his grandmothers, Pearl Boe of Thief River Falls and Lucile Skadsem of Newfolden; five nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Boe; his maternal and paternal grandfathers, Arthur Skadsem and Nels Boe; an uncle and aunt; and two cousins.
