Jeffrey Blake, 51, died Sunday, August 27, 2000 at his home in
Holt.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 1, at Gustav Adolph Lutheran Church in Strathcona with Rev. John Jorgenson officiating. Lois Peterson was the organist, and Julie Pearson was the soloist. Casketbearers were David Majer, Laurel Majer, Loren Wold, Curt Zimdars, Merlin Alme and Clyde Stephens. Interment with military honors was in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Strathcona. Collins Funeral Home of Middle River was in charge of the arrangements.
Jeffrey Nelson Blake was born on December 16, 1948 in San Diego, Calif., the son of Harvey and Jean (Crane) Blake. He grew up and attended school in National City, Calif. During the late 1960s, he served with the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. Following his discharge, he resided in several western states. In 1972, he moved to Minnesota and has resided at both Holt and Drayton, N.D. where he was employed by American Crystal Sugar for more than 20 years.
Jeffrey is survived by two sisters, Caroline Blake of Detroit Lakes and Ellen Parish in California; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two nephews and one niece. A00003B2000SP06
