Mounds View - Marlene Bergsnev, 42, died Sunday, April 25, 1999 at her home in Mounds View after a long bout with cancer.
Memorial services were held on Tuesday, April 27 at Cross of Glory Church in Mounds View.
Marlene Annette Olson was born on April 5, 1957 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Milford and Mary Ann (Ward) Olson. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Viking and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. She attended school in Viking and Thief River Falls.
On November 24, 1972 she married Robert Larson in Thief River Falls. Following school, she worked at Northwest Medical Center, CNC Unit, for several years.
On April 20, 1985 Marlene was united in marriage to Norman Bergsnev in Greenbush. The couple moved to Mounds View where she was employed at a nursing home until retiring because of ill health.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Norman; two daughters, Shannon of Minneapolis and Kelsy of Mounds View; one son, Jonathan of Mounds View; her mother, Mary Ann Hanson and her husband, Norman, of Thief River Falls; one sister, Marilyn O'Neal of San Diego, CA; one brother, Michael (Jackie) Olson of Thief River Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Milford Olson in 1967; one grandson; and her grandparents.
