
Strathcona - Wilma Beito, 74, died Monday, July 19, 1999 at the Roseau Area Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 22 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Thief Lake near Middle River with Reverend Ernie Christensen officiating. Pat Hanson was the organist, and special music was provided by the Beito family. DelRay Beito presented a reading. Casketbearers were Wilma's grandsons. Interment was in Our Savior's Church Cemetery at Thief Lake. The Collins Funeral Home of Middle River was in charge of the arrangements.
Wilma Inez Willard was born on April 3, 1925 at Mountain Home, Arkansas, the daughter of Lee and Joyce (Lewis) Willard. She grew up in Missouri and Arkansas.
On November 5, 1945 she was united in marriage to Harry Beito at Thief River Falls. For many years the couple made their home in Huss township of Roseau county near Strathcona.
Wilma was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Thief Lake.
She enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Harry; two sons, Mike (Sue) and Mitch (Michele), both of Thief River Falls; three daughters, Barb Hanson of Strathcona, Susie (Roger) Wojciechowski of Warroad and Shirley (Bernie) Brazier of Greenbush; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a half brother, O'Neil Willard of Maryville, CA; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Jason Hanson in 1979; and a granddaughter, Tammy Beito in 1989.
