
Seal Beach, CA - Rosalie E. Bedard, 66, died Friday, February 13, 1998 of cancer at her home in Seal Beach, CA.
A funeral mass will be held today, Wednesday, February 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Hedwig's Church in Los Alamitos, CA. Burial will be at All Soul's Cemetery in Long Beach. The Luyben Family Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
Rosalie Edna Klennert was born on November 22, 1931 in Crookston, the daughter of George and Annette (Bergene) Klennert. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls in 1950.
On November 21, 1953 she was united in marriage to Donald Bedard at St. Anthony's Church in Long Beach, CA. The couple eventually moved to Orange and Laguna Beach, CA where they lived from 1959 until 1966. Donald was principal of Laguna Beach High School, and Rosalie was selected "Mother of the Year" by the Lugana Beach Kiwanis Club. For the past 32 years she has been a resident of Seal Beach, CA.
She was a member of St. Hedwig's Catholic Church.
Rosalie is survived by her husband, Dr. Donald J. Bedard; six children, Laurie Genovese of Mission Viejo, CA, Renee Ashcraft of Long Beach, CA, Michael Bedard of Redlands, CA, Dana Bedard of Cypress, CA, Craig Bedard of Cathedral City, CA and Annette Davis of Murrietta, CA; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Charles Klennert of Renton, WA; and two sisters, Ruthie Wright of Stillwater and Dorothy Bodlovick of White Bear Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lois Jung.
