Anoka - Joan Battleson, 62, died Saturday, December 30, 2000.
A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home in Anoka with Rev. Norman R. Berg officiating. Interment was in Champlin Cemetery in Champlin.
Joan Emily Olson was born on May 29, 1938 at Thief River Falls.
She is survived by her husband, James Battleson; a daughter, Michele (Mike) Dunlap; a grandson; two brothers, John Olson and James Olson; two sisters, Marlene Halseth and Marion (Erling) Olson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Susan Irene; her parents; and a brother, Halver "Billy." A00003B2000JA10
