Vivian Bakke, 63

Denver, Colo. - Vivian Bakke, 63, died Sunday, July 9, 2000 at her home in Denver, Colo.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 17 at Horan McConaty Chapel with Rev. Dennis Hogstrom officiating. Burial was in Arvada Cemetery in Denver.

Vivian Eileen Prigge was born on July 6, 1937 in Grafton, N.D., the daughter of Charlie and Evelyn (Swanson) Prigge. She moved with her parents to rural Oklee and graduated from Oklee High School in 1955. In 1957, she married Robert Bakke, and they lived in Hawaii, Thief River Falls and Denver. Vivian did day care and in her later years worked at Sheplers, Inc.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Kitty Bakke and Kelly Bakke, both of Denver; one son, Robert of Grand Forks, N.D.; four grandchildren; three sisters, Arlyce Myrum, Marjorie (Chester) Myrum and Judy (Ralph) Kriel; four brothers, El (Carol), Jim (Sandy), Charles (Bonnie) and Virgil (Pam); one stepsister, Fern (Don) Johnson; one stepbrother, Darrow (Shirley) Lundeen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, one brother-in-law and her stepfather.
