Clarice Amberson, 92 İİİ Oklee - Clarice Asselin Amberson, 92, died on Sunday, August 22, 2004 at Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston. Mass İİİVisitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, at Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee, with a 7 p.m. prayer service and for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. İİİClarice Marie Deschene was born June 13, 1912 in Argyle, the daughter of Alphonse and Anna (Rochfort) Deschene. She attended Robertson School. İİİOn November 18, 1941, Clarice was united in marriage to Homer Asseline in Oklee, where they made their home. Homer died August 12, 1981. Clarice remarried September 8, 1988 to Selmer Arnold Amberson of Gully. They made their home in Oklee. Selmer died July 8, 1992. İİİClarice was a member of St. Francis Xavier Ladies Guild and St. Anneís Society. She also worked for a time in custodials at Oklee School. İİİSurvivors include seven children: Stella (Dwight) Howard of Inver Grove Heights, Rosella Pietruszewski of Argyle, Phyllis Sulerud of Crookston, Cecilia Finseth of Fosston, Bernard (Pam) Asselin of Oklee, Bernadette Hagl of Thief River Falls and Duane (Pat) Asselin of Oklee; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leah Pagnac of Argyle and Louella Carrigan of White Bear Lake; three brothers, Omer (Helen) Deschene of Stephen, Charles Deschene of Mankato and Harvey Deschene of Argyle and many nieces and nephews. İİİShe was preceded in death by husbands, Homer Asselin and Selmer Arnold Amberson; one son, Roland; three sisters, Pauline Pagnac, Josephine Deschene and Mary Pagnac; five brothers, Ernest, Leo, Clarence, Edward and Ole.
