Red Lake Falls - Shirley Sande, 70, died on Monday, April 11, 2005 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Memorial Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 at St. Joseph’s Church in Red Lake Falls, with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Fort Snelling.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Shirley May Clement was born March 19, 1935, to Ted and Mae (Ste. Marie) Clement in Red Lake Falls. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls.
On December 9, 1964, Shirley was united in marriage to Milton Sande. They moved around the country, living in Denver, Bemidji, West Fargo and then settling in Red Lake Falls, where she and Milt helped care for her parents. Shirley was gifted with a son named Jeff, who until his untimely death was the pride of her life.
Shirley is survived by three brothers, Jim (Shirley) Clement of Nisswa, Allen (Cathy) Clement of Grand Forks, N.D., and Daniel (Judy) Clement of Cross Lake; sisters, Clariet Jacobson of Minneapolis and Darlene (Bayford) Leighton of St. Paul.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Mae; her son Jeff; husband Milton; and brother-in-law, Milton Jacobson.
