    Aurora - Funeral services for Ronald D. Leskiw, 53, of Aurora, were held Monday, Jan. 16, 2012 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Aurora, with Rev. Paul Buettner officiating.   
    A Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls on Wednesday, Jan. 18 (today) at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Golv officiating.
    Ronald died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 at Essentia Health in Duluth.
     He was born Nov. 24, 1958 in Hibbing, to Nick and Wanda (Nomeland) Leskiw. As a child, he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Ron worked for LTV Steel as a locomotive engineer for several years. He currently worked as an equipment operator for Richard Hess in Aurora.
     Ronald was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Aurora.
     Survivors include his sons, Jeremy (Abby) Leskiw and Ryan Leskiw of Aurora; grandchildren, Jaydon and Cole; mother and stepfather, Wanda (Gerald) Schuster of Bena, formerly of Thief River Falls; sister, Lori (Bert) Weisse of Thief River Falls; halfbrother, Jason (Mandy) Schuster of Thief River Falls; nephews, Joshua and Ryan; nieces, Olivia and Claire, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
     He was preceded in death by his father, Nick; brother, Rodney; grandparents, Dan and Marie Leskiw, Ole and Helen Nomeland, and Bud and Ardith Schuster; several close aunts and uncles.
    Arrangements are with Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls.
