Federal Way, Wash. - Sandra “Kay” Bruggeman (formerly Mantei) died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 after a long battle with lung disease. A celebration of life will be held at The Eagles in Issaquah Washington on Saturday, Jan. 28. She was born on May 15, 1948 in Fredrick, Md., the daughter of Fred and Betty Mantei. She graduated from Pershing High school in Plummer. She married Mark Bruggeman and moved to Thief River Falls. Kay moved to Issaquah, Wash. in 1984. Kay was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles where she was an active member. She enjoyed helping out with the charity events. She is survived by two daughters, Robin Fowler (Bruggeman) of East Wenatchee, Wash., and Wendy Braid (Bruggeman), of Redmond, Ore. She is also survived by two sisters, Gloria Mantei and Lois Mantei. She was preceded by the death of her parents, Fred and Betty Mantei. A00003B2012JA18 |
