 Cloquet - Donald “Rafferty” Rabideaux, 67, Cloquet, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011.He was born Sept. 14, 1944 in Cloquet to Clifton and Margaret (Morrissette) Rabideaux. Rafferty married Janice Kauppila on Dec. 23, 1971. He worked as a welder for Hydro-Mac, Arctic Cat, and Fond du Lac. He retired from Black Bear Casino in 2006. Rafferty was a member of the Fond du Lac Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa and the Thief River Falls Eagle Club. He was preceded in death by his parents and several nieces and nephews. Rafferty is survived by his wife Janice; siblings, Clifton (Gail), David, Dennis (Mary) and Shirley; brothers-in-law, Gene, Bob, Greg and Gordy (Glenna) Kauppila; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Jim) Baron and Gloria (Kevin) Malwitz; aunt Cynthia Olson; uncle Robert Morrissette; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 4 at Handevidt Funeral Home in Cloquet. Interment was in New Holy Family Cemetery, Cloquet.
