   Warroad - Jerold Duiane Wahlbeck, 73, of Warroad, died on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011.
    Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 5 at the Warroad Senior Living Center Chapel in Warroad. Interment was held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls on Friday, Jan. 6.
    Jerold was born to Selmer and MayBelle (Hilligoss) Wahlbeck on Sept. 22, 1938 in Pennington County on the family farm. He grew up and completed schooling through the 10th grade as well as six years in the Corps Cadet Salvation Army.
    Jerold would get married to Joan Amundson in 1956 before separating and marring Janice (Braaten) Wahlbeck in 1973.
    Jerold was a very hard working man who held a wide variety of jobs including, Anderson Dairy Bridgeman’s, Hydra – Mac, Berts, Baltimore Spice, Marvin’s and he also worked as a licensed air conditioning technician.
    Jerold was not all work however he had many hobbies such as playing and singing old time music with the Highway 11 Ramblers, and a love for old tractors and cars, and spending time with family and friends.
    Jerold is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janice; daughters, Kim (Ron) Kalinoski of Thief River Falls, Becky (Mike) Kaushagen of Thief River falls,  Brenda Gibson of Elk River,  Sheryl (Mark) Swanson of Elk River, Michelle (Richard) Scott of St. Hilaire, Becky (Duane) Skibicki of Warroad, Michael Johnson of Monticello, Sandy Wahlbeck of Oklahoma; brother, Don (Yvonne) Wahlbeck of Thief River Falls; sisters, Barbara (Ray) Oulette of Proctor, Colleen (Jon) Swenson of Salol; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Peggy Lynn; granddaughter, Brandy Lee Brown; grandsons, Trenton Lee Skibicki and Shane Swanson.
