Bemidji - Cecelia Marguerite Raiter, 87, of Bemidji, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wilton, with Father Jerry Rogers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Casket bearers include her grandsons Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Wilton, under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji. She was born on May 13, 1924, in Sherburn, the daughter of Felix and Eva (Larson) Eisenmenger. She was raised and educated in Sherburn, graduating from Sherburn High School in 1943. She attended college at St. Catherine’s University in the Twin Cities. She worked for three years at Railway Motors in Fairmont. She married William Raiter on May 29, 1947, in Fairmont. They moved to Solway, began farming, and started their family. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church of Shevlin, and later Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wilton. She enjoyed the arts and music, even teaching piano lessons in her home. She was a friend to many, had a strong love of God, and was proud of all of her children. She is survived by her husband, William Raiter of Bemidji; children, Leon (Deanna) Raiter of Sartell, Marilyn (Leonard) Rodgers of Columbus, Ohio, Theresa (Anthony) Botts of Shelby, Mont., Joe (Gina Lee) Raiter of Bemidji, Karen (Loren) Rux of Thief River Falls, Annette (Bryan) Marsh of Bemidji, David (Denise Notsh) Raiter of Shevlin, Cecil (Penelope) Raiter of Elizabeth, Colo., Tim (Charlene) Raiter of Thief River Falls, Donna (Steven) Keogh of Thief River Falls, Arlene (Daniel) Hogquist of Bemidji, 26 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
