   Wickenburg, Ariz. - Don Johnson, 90, of Wickenburg, Ariz., died Thursday morning, Oct. 20, 2011 at the Walsenburg VA Home in Walsenburg, Colo.
    Don was born Feb. 2, 1921 to Martha and Henry Johnson of Buffalo and grew up on the Johnson farm on Mary Lake and graduated from Buffalo High School.
    On Nov. 19th, 1943 he married Lois Ann Hill also of Buffalo. Don served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1944-1946. After returning home he helped out on the farm, worked construction and also as a finish carpenter for many years.  He was a volunteer for the Buffalo Fire Department for five years.  
    Don and Lois moved to Thief River Falls in 1967, where he worked for Arctic Cat and Lois started her career as a District Sales Manager for Avon Products Inc. They retired in Arizona in 1986 and enjoyed many good years. Don enjoyed many hobbies such as hunting, fishing and aviation with family members and friends and he loved riding his motorcycles until his early 80s.
    He was a member of the Covenant church and enjoyed playing hymns on the piano while also entertaining many with his other musical talents such as violin, organ, and harmonica.  
    He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Lois Ann; three children, Joanne Florell of Fort Collins Colo., Don (Butch) and his wife Judy Johnson of Glendale, Ariz., and Janet and her husband Kent Ehrenstrom of Bemidji; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his best friend, brother Harland of Buffalo; his son-in-law Vince Florell; and one great-granddaughter.
