    Warren - Eldor Omdahl, 101, of rural Warren, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.
    Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 11 at DuBore Funeral Home in Warren.
??Eldor was born on Jan. 6, 1910 in rural Warren, the son of Olaus and Bella (Hanson) Omdahl. He attended country school. As a young man, he traveled doing construction. He participated in the building of many dams.
    Eldor later returned to the Warren area where he farmed. He married DeVere Shipp in August 1939 and they were married for over 25 years. On June 13, 1970, he married Stella Krankkala. They made their home on a farm in rural Warren.
    They donated land to the Audubon Society, the place known as “Wetlands, Pines & Prairie Audubon Sanctuary,” which is southeast of Warren and also donated land to the Northwest Minnesota Foundation.
    Eldor enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, reading, bird watching and counting, tapping trees to make maple syrup and traveling.
    Survivors are three stepchildren, Sam (Kathy) Krankkala of Marco Island, Fla. and Plymouth, Susan Treague of Manassas, Va., and John (Cindy) Krankkala of Thief River Falls; five step-grandchildren; nine great-step-grandchildren; brother, Luther Omdahl of Mesa, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Donna Omdahl of Warren, and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Stella; five brothers, Alvin, Olaf, Walter, Robert and William and sisters, Hazel, Mae, Esther and Ruth.
