Erskine - Ann Marie Fox, 46, died on Monday, April 4, 2005 at her residence in Erskine.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 9 at the Warroad Baptist Church. Interment was held at the Riverside Cemetery in Warroad.
Ann Marie Fox, the daughter of Jennie (Carlson) and Paul W. Hassel, was born on February 4, 1959 in Roseau. After growing up in Warroad, Ann traveled to several places, including, California for several years where she worked as a clown. She would do birthday parties and other special events. She moved back to Roseau and Warroad for several more years. She worked at a restaurant and at Wally’s in Roseau and did her favorite, clowning in Roseau and Warroad.
In November of 2002, she moved back to Thief River Falls, where she did clowning and worked at the Northern Lights Bookstore. She loved children and had lots of time for them. She loved making different sculptures of balloons, including animals, hearts and swords. She also enjoyed crafts and was an avid scrabble player, just ask her cousin Jean.
She is survived by her son, Brian; siblings, Shirley (Gene) Moser of Red Lake Falls, Walter (Karen) Hassel of Roosevelt, Wanda (Jim) Westman of Strathcona, Mary Jo (Wayne) Knutson of Warroad and Clarence “Skip” Strom Jr. of Halma; godparents, uncle Albert and Aunt Betty Peterson of Grandview, Wash.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
